There’s no better way for the technology community to break in the new year than CES, the Las Vegas extravaganza that features the latest prototypes and wildest ideas permeating the tech space. A key part of this technology-focused show are the Mark of Excellence Awards, which ‘recognise the best in custom integration and installed technology’.
With 157 entries for this year’s awards across fifteen categories, there was fierce competition among a global field of home technology specialists. Coming out of the evening with not just one, but two individual awards was therefore an incredible achievement for the Andrew Lucas team.
In the Luxury Home of the Year ($150,000–$300,000) category, our incredible Hampstead project came out on top. This extraordinary North London property was recognised for the invisible smart home technology that permeates throughout, all part and parcel of an installation led by renowned architect Claudio Silvestrin, who has previously worked with Kanye West, Anish Kapoor and Calvin Klein.
His vision for the property required adherence to a strict mantra of minimalist elegance with regards to every aspect of the home’s technology systems in order to maximise the simple, open lines of the building and delicate balance of light in the property.
Also recognised was Kenwood, which received the Custom Home of the Year ($50,000–$150,000) award. This beautiful, welcoming family home boasts a substantial technological backbone that runs through each element of the property, from mood-based smart lighting and high-fidelity, multi-room audio to a relaxation room that can transform into a dedicated home cinema into a matter of seconds.
The awards were collected by our Managing Director Krystian Zajac and Finance Director Sylwia Zajac, who were attending CES 2017 on behalf of Andrew Lucas.
“Having two incredible projects recognised internationally is a great honour for us at Andrew Lucas. It is testament to the hard work of our entire team that our dedication to quality has shone through,” says Krystian Zajac. “We’d also like to thank the wonderful partners that we collaborated with on each project, who worked alongside us to achieve two exceptional projects.”
